P.R. GEAR
Do you experience excessive pronation, instability, collapsing arches, lack of balance, need arch support, or have bunions? These issues are typically due to having a big toe that is no longer straight and has deformed to be bent in towards the other toes, which is the case with the majority of adults in shoe wearing population.
Correct Toes StableToe is a revolutionary new single toe spacer designed to help those who no longer have a straight big toe (the majority of adults). StableToe provides instant natural alignment and stability, with improved results the more it is worn.
StableToe is designed to:
-
Align the big toe to its natural position, providing relief to the arch & big toe
-
Strengthen the big toe and arch muscles of the foot
-
Restore natural stability to the arch side of the foot and fix excessive pronation
-
Eliminate the future need for rigid insoles, orthotics, & other supports that weaken the feet & take the body out of homeostasis (its natural, happy, healthy state)
- Provide natural arch support by locking the bones in to their natural alignment
- Serve as a device to be worn to help select optimal footwear
- Help relieve, support, treat, and even reverse bunions/hallux valgus
Correct Toes StableToe was created by Golden Harper (founder of Altra and P.R. Gear), with design input from renowned 4-minute mile running podiatrist Dr. Ray McClanahan, inventor of Correct Toes.
StableToe comes as a pair, complete with a customizable expandable slot and real cork shims to adjust the correction from gentle to more aggressive. This allows StableToe to adapt to your specific toe spreading needs for maximum relief and comfort.
Sizing note: StableToe is one size fits most, but may not fit extremely small or extremely large foot sizes.
Adjustment note: The greatest realignment, stability, and strengthening benefits will come from slowly working up to wearing StableToe most of the day, every day. We recommend wearing StableToe for around 30 minutes the first use, and increasing 30 minutes per day as long as they remain comfortable. StableToe should be worn until they get irritating but not painful. A good guideline is if you are thinking about them more than every couple of minutes, it's time for them to come off.
Fitting note: StableToe can help address which shoes are deforming your big toe. If a shoe becomes less comfortable while StableToe is being worn, then the shoe is likely taking the foot out of its natural position and bending the big toe in. We would recommend a shoe with a straighter big toe in this case.
Although many suitable shoes can be found for most people, all shoes produced by the following brands have a straight big toe:
Correct Toes StableToe is the only big toe spacer we've found to work well for walking or running long distances inside of shoes. Made of soft, flexible medical-grade silicone, they are designed to align toes, strengthen feet, & restore the foot’s original position & function, while enabling natural arch support. Research has shown Correct Toes products to be effective in treating the root causes of plantar fasciosis (fasciitis), bunions, neuromas, hammer toes, numbness, circulation problems, and other forefoot maladies.
Our founder has even set records running 14,000 foot peaks while wearing StableToe and Correct Toes in foot-shaped shoes. They are ideal for most chronic foot conditions, and for stabilizing unstable feet and ankles. Being able to wear them in shoes allows them to be FAR more effective than other toe spacers that can only be worn without shoes, or that restrict splay by wrapping around the outsides of toes. Don't fall for cheap alternatives, especially those that wrap around the outside of the big toe or pinky toe that cut off circulation and restrict toe splay, which defeats many of the benefits!
Examples of positive outcomes with the use of Correct Toes products:
- Correction of: bunions, hallux limitus and rigidus, tailor’s bunions, corns, ingrown toenails, heel pain, plantar fasciosis, neuromas, capsulitis, lower leg pain, and runner’s knee. No surgery or medications required!
- Better balance in athletes, Parkinson’s patients, and elderly.
- Decreased injury rates in athletes, due to allowing the body to make better use of natural physiological adaptations that are hampered by current footwear available to athletes.
- Increased performance in athletes (especially walkers and runners) by promoting foot positions that scientific studies have shown to have a 4 to 5% performance edge.
- Improved strength and flexibility of the toes. This enhances proprioception, and subsequently the brain signals the body to move forward more naturally.
- Less osteoarthritis (also known as degenerative arthritis), which currently plagues a majority of senior citizens, as well as a high percentage of the younger population.
